Pregnancy Blog has returned!

Okay due to popular demand I have started up my pregnancy blog again. This is how my whole blogging experience started. Until now it hadn't been updated since Jack was born. I updated it every week of my pregnancy.

I am going to try to keep up with it. No promises though. Last time I did it I didn't have another kid to keep up with.

Check it out...

Week 98

Jan 19-25

Well this week we officially announced that we are HAVING A BABY!!

Yay!! :)

So everyone keeps asking me for more details about the new baby and I'm sorry to say I really don't have a whole lot of information to pass on but I will do my best. Here are some of your most pressing questions answered:

When are you due?
-Well I haven't been to the OB/GYN (doctor) yet so I don't have an "official" due date...but based on my own calculations which were the exact same ones as the doctors came up with last time so I'm usually pretty darn close...September 19th.

How far along are you?
-Um, well since you have a due date I guess you could do the math yourself, but since I'm nice I will just do it for you. I am in week 6 of my pregnancy...34 long weeks to go. I do realize that I will spending the latter part of my pregnancy in the sweltering Florida heat and let me tell you I am not excited about that fact. Oh well.

Are you going to find out, or be surprised like you were with Jack?
-Be surprised! Duh! I know that many of you had personal issues with this. You just couldn't take it, you had to know if we were having a boy or a girl. Very sweet, but we like to be surprised so that means you have to be too!

How old will Jack be when the baby gets here?
-Once again we are back to this whole math issue. Jack will be 2 and 1/2 years old when the baby gets here. I really think he is going to enjoy being a big brother!

Are you going to do another pregnancy blog?
-Hmmm. I am still pondering this one. If I do it I am scared I will be a little too candid and honest and scare others out of wanting to have a baby. Don't get me wrong, I love the outcome of pregnancy. I just don't like being tortured relentlessly for 40 weeks. That is a whole other subject. I am still considering the second pregnancy blog.

So that is the scoop so far. We will keep everyone updated on this blog if I don't start a new one. Don't you worry! Hope everyone has a great week! Here are some candid shots of Jack at the park!

Week 97

Jan 12-18

So suddenly I realize that my baby is going to turn TWO years old in two months.

WHAAAAAT???

How did this happen?? He was a baby yesterday, I swear it! I feel like he woke up one day and just turned into this kid. Independent. Smart. Funny. He is a chatterbox to say the least. He understands the concept of timeout, even though he rarely needs it. He asks for what he wants and says "please" and "thank you" sometimes without being prompted. It's amazing. We were doing his ABC puzzle the other day and he knew more than half of the letters of the alphabet.
Where has the time gone??

So I am now trying to figure out where/when to have his little 2nd Birthday Party. I feel like I just got done planning the first one.
I have ideas on what kind of party to throw for Jack. Part of my dilemma is where to have the party. Last year we had it at the house, but we also didn't really have that many kids. Jack has way more friends now that he is older so there could potentially be quite a few kids.
There are tons of parks and covered awning type places around here, but some days it is so windy that I would really have to get creative as far as the decorations or they might blow away. Hmm...I will come up with something. In the meantime here are pictures from Jack's friend Jay's 3rd birthday party. It was pirate themed. Super cute!!!

Week 96

Jan 5-11

Weekend away...

So for one of my Christmas presents Ed surprised me with a weekend away to a hotel on the beach. He figured we could both use a little getaway and spend some Q.T. together! It. Was. Amazing! We had a fantastic time, rested, partied, talked, shared, and that's all I'm going to say about that. Every couple should do this. In fact, we made a pact to do it AT LEAST once every 6 months. Wonderful.
In other news, we are still struggling with the whole babysitter issue. Three interviews tomorrow. Cross your fingers for us. Some of them are promising, but you never know. Here are some pictures of Jack playing outside in the "Florida Cold". Haha! My mom said that yesterday Florida was the ONLY state that did not have snow. Crazy!

Week 95

Dec 29-Jan 4

Happy New Year!

We are pretty much recovering from the busy holiday season. We have been taking down decorations, trying to get back into the swing of things, get back to work, and return to our normal schedule. It has kind of been a rough week as our babysitter suddenly became unreliable So now we are on the hunt for a new one. I am so sick of having different people in Jack's life and wish we could just have some consistency. It is difficult to find someone we can really trust in a town we don't know anyone. I am so torn because although there is a fantastic day care center on base but we only need childcare 4-8 hours a week and you have to pay for full time or nothing. It would come out to $20+/hr. It just doesn't seem right. I would rather keep Jack in his own house so he can take naps in his own crib. The little cots they sleep on at daycare really creep me out.

We will find another babysitter soon. We are interviewing people next week. Here are some pictures of Jack playing on his tricycle and on one of our bike rides to the beach. Enjoy! :)
