Week 140

Nov 2-8

November 3, 2011 = Happy 5 Year Wedding Anniversary to my wonderful Husband!!! Where has the time gone? It feels like our wedding was just yesterday and now we have two kids! I am so lucky to have you as my husband and also as the father to my children. You are the best!!!
November 3, 2006

Unfortunately, this year we did not get a chance to celebrate our anniversary because we were getting ready for Abel's big weekend. We had a lot of family coming in from out of town for the Baptism so we figured Saturday we should entertain and feed them. :)

We spent the days before the weekend preparing our menu, going grocery shopping, and doing any kind of prep work we could in order to make everything as easy as possible. It was really fun to organize our first "party" at our new house. We were so excited to have everyone over, we don't get much activity around here.

Hanging out in the kitchen.

Ed and Chuck!

Brothers!

Sisters!

We made tons of food, had plenty of beer, and I think everyone had a nice time. We celebrated Ed's graduation from college since we never really got to celebrate with family. Ed had no idea and it was fun to have a little surprise worked in. He definitely earned it. I am so proud of him for getting his bachelors degree.

Siblings taking a shot (I didn't participate b/c I don't think Abel would like liquored up milk!)

Ed's Surprise College Graduation Cake!

The next day was Sunday, the day of the Baptism. We are so blessed that all of our family came to church to witness Abel's first Sacrament of Initiation into the Catholic Church. Abel is lucky to be so new in this world and already have this many people who love him. Thank you to everyone who came. We appreciate each and every one of you. Here are some pictures from Abel's most important day.

Abel William Baptized November 2011

Jack Edward Baptized May 2009

These first two pictures are special because we took them in the same spot of each baby wearing the blessed gown that has been passed down to so many people in the family for over 80 years!!!

Abel's wonderful Godmother getting him dressed in the gown.

"Hmm...I've never worn shoes before."

He looks like a little baby cherub in this one.

Awww!

Precious little hat...courtesy of Ashleigh.

Aunt Caroline, Uncle Will, and Uncle Andy!

So happy with his Godparents!!!

Such a good baby, didn't even cry.

Pap and May-May

Such a sweet little baby.

Our favorite cake...same cake we had at our wedding!

The beautiful cookies made by myself and Aunt Caroline!

The Godmother got him a second outfit. He looks so handsome!!!
