Week 89

Nov 17-23

Ed and I went on another hot date! :) So Ed has this bucket list of things to accomplish in his life. Some are very serious like becoming a firefighter, while others are for pure enjoyment. When he was in college, he made a list of bands he wanted to see live at least once in his lifetime. He has made most of them...but there was one that he thought he would never get to see. Pink Floyd.
Amazing hotel! :) I recommend it!

He has always been a fan of Pink Floyd but the band broke up years ago. His mom saw Pink Floyd when she was a teenager and has always spoken about how great the show was. Ed never thought it would happen...
Feeling pretty good...

And it didn't completely happen. The band broke up, but Roger Waters (the lead singer) had the rights to 'The Wall' which happens to be Ed's favorite album. The last time 'The Wall' was performed it was Roger Waters and guest singers Live in Berlin. 1990.

Waters had said he wouldn't perform it anymore but suddenly this year he decided one last time. Ed was ECSTATIC! We got AMAZING seats and loved every second of the show. We left our house in the morning to drive to Tampa, FL. Checked into our BEAUTIFUL hotel and decided to have a few drinks and lunch. After that we rested for a bit, got ready, and hit the town! We took a cab to the venue, secured our tickets at the box office, and drank more. Seriously it felt like we were dating again!

We pretty much had VIP seating. Before the show and during the intermission we had a private lounge, bar, and bathrooms. It was AWESOME!! I've always loved the album as well and was familiar with all the songs. Roger Waters and the band members did a ridiculous job with the music, sound quality, and special effects.
Our $22 beers. Worth EVERY penny!

After the show we rode the cab back to the hotel, enjoyed some more drinks, then went to bed. It was a fantastic little getaway! We planned on sleeping in since we were sans child, but we are so used to getting up early that we were both up by 7:00am. We were so excited to see Jack so we hopped in the car and headed home.

:)

We need more little getaways because it was amazing!
