Week 160

Mar 21-27

This particular week was fun because Aunt Caroline came into town and got to join us for an exclusive Busy Bees play date!  We went to Fox Farm in Lexington.  It was absolutely adorable.  There were tons of groups there and lots of activity going on, luckily it is a farm so they were free to run loose.  They all really seemed to enjoy themselves.  There was so much stuff to do!  We started off just playing while we waited for everyone in our group to join us.  They had a cute cutout with the Fox Farm logo on it.

After we were all present and accounted for, it was on to the animals!  There was a horse to sit on and a petting zoo area with everything from birds, to llamas, to donkeys.  Jack thought it was hilarious to see them so close, he wasn't shy at all.  The staff was nice and the animals were very accessible.  Aunt Caroline helped him feed the llama and the donkey.

After visiting with the animals our group was herded (no pun intended) to the next activity.  The kids got to sit around a big picnic table and plant a flower to take home.  Aunt Caroline helped Jack draw his name on his cup and he thought it was neat to plant a flower.

Next on the agenda for the morning was an Easter egg hunt, and then meet the Easter Bunny!  Jack got tons of plastic eggs.  This was his first Easter egg hunt that he actually did on his own.  It was funny to watch all of the kids run after the eggs.  The Easter bunny was a nice touch.  While we waited to take our big group picture, Jack stood in line with his friend Sammi.  They are so cute together and kept hugging.  I got this cute picture of the two of them.  We got our group picture.  Not every kid is looking (impossible), but it turned out great I thought.

Since I knew the farm was a little bit far away from our house and I wasn't sure how long it would take to do everything, I packed a picnic lunch for us to eat.  I figured when we left the kids might fall asleep in the car or at least be ready for quiet time when we got home.  Abel ate his delicious baby food.  He is starting to become such a little eater.  He loves his food, can you tell?  Before we left I snapped a few shots of the boys together.  They are so adorable!  :)  All in all it was a great day at the farm!
